JNV 9th Class Application Fee

The application fee for filling admission form for the admission in 11th class is free of cost. You don’t have to pay for the Application Form of JNV Admission.

JNV 9th Admission Procedure

While studying in the 8th class, the student have to fill up the JNV 9th Entrance Exam Application form online properly.

Then you have to appear for the entrance examination. If you get selected then you will get the admission into the JNV 9th class for session 2025-2026.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya 9th Admission Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are given below here.

1. Only those candidates who are bonafide residents of the district concerned where wish to apply and should have resident of the same district.
2. Only those candidates who are bonafide residents & studying Class VIII during the Academic Session 2024-25 in one of the Govt./Govt. recognized schools of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is functioning and where admission is sought, are eligible.
3. District of residence and district of class VIII study should be same in respect of candidates who desire to apply for admission to class IX (session 2025-26) in the JNV located in the same district.
4. Date of Birth of the candidate must be between 1st May 2010 to 31st July 2012 (both days inclusive). This is applicable to all categories of candidates including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
5. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti reserves the right to refer any candidate to a MEDICAL BOARD for confirmation of the age of the candidate, in case any doubt arises about the age on the basis of certificate produced by the candidate before confirmation of admission. The decision of the medical board will be final and binding.
6. Only Indian Nationals, who are studying Class-VIII in India in the district concerned are eligible to apply.

• To download the Notification, you have to click on link “Prospectus-cum-Notification for CLASS-IX Lateral Entry Selection Test” under the “Candidate Corner” section.
• Now Click on link “Click Here to Register for Class IX Lateral Entry Admission (2025-26)”
• Fill up the form, upload the Asked documents.
• Print the application form for the future reference.

NVS Selection Procedure

To get admission in JNV, students has to give some test. After apply for the NVS Class 9 Admission students will have to give entrance test and qualify the entrance exam. After getting selected in entrance exam, students will be called for document verification and medical test and then admission will be made to the respected school.

• Enrollment Policy – Admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is made on the basis of a selection test, designed and conducted by the CBSE. The test is called the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). It is non-verbal nature, class neutral and designed so as to ensure that talented children from rural areas are able to compete without facing any disadvantage. Special care is take to ensure that children from far flung areas get admission forms free of cost, without any difficulty. Sufficient publicity is done through Doordarshan, All India Radio, local newspapers, pamphlets, Vidyalaya websites and through visits of Principals ad teachers of Navodaya Vidyalaya to the local schools of the district.
• Written Exam – This is the first exam which students need to give for being selected in Navodaya School. Students who are studying in 8th class. They must start preparation for Navodaya written exam along with their 8th class study. Because, the question in the exam are not that much easy to solve. It takes time because you will be getting some of the question from 9th class syllabus.  
• Document Verification – It is also one of the most important procedure of JNV Admission. In this process, students go with their parents along with necessary documents to submit for getting admission such as – Aadhaar Card, School Marksheet from class 3rd to 5th, Passport Size Photo, Address proof and some other certificate which you will get from your primary school while admission in the JNV.
• Medical Check up – At the end of process for the admission in JNV, student go for the medical check up in the school. In this procedure, Some of the doctor do eye check up and weight, height, and body check up. Once you are found fully fit then you will be selected for the admission in JNV and you may join that school after few days after completing the all the procedure by school member and getting allowed.
